Crossing rivers in Iceland requires experience that most travelers do not have. Please consult our staff at the rental desk if you plan to use the F-roads that have river crossings.  Some rivers such as Krossá in Þórsmörk are particularly dangerous and impassable for rental cars.  Believe us when we say that you will need to be on a super jeep for the big rivers.
